Frank Johnson, age 92, of Soldier, Ky., passed away Wednesday morning, July 27, 2011, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky.
Mr. Johnson was born April 12, 1919, in Carter County, Ky., a son of the late Other and Nora Thompson Johnson.
Frank was a member of the Soldier Church of God and was self employed. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin Johnson and Everett Johnson, and four sisters, Liz Cunningham, Lee Evans, Frances Keasley, and Kelly Hall.
Frank is survived by his wife of 71 years, Tina Eulett Johnson, one son, Hugh Johnson, Sr., and his wife, Reveria, of Hustonville, Ky., four grandchildren, Bobbi Lynn Bowen and Theressa Johnson both of Soldier, Ky., Hugh Johnson, Jr. of Lexington, Ky., and Allan Johnson of Soldier, Ky., and five great-grandchildren, Ryan Rayburn, Kia Rayburn, Garrad Johnson, Andrea Johnson, and Jacob Johnson. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will truly miss him.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2011, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Ky., with Brother David Rayburn and Brother Delmar Logan, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in the Trumbo Hill Cemetery in Soldier, Kentucky.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
