Henry Brooks Lewman, Sr., 90 Danville, (formerly of Dunreith, IN) passed away November 13, 2013 in IU Health West, Avon. Born July 16, 1923 in Moorehead, Kentucky, he was the son of Claude and Pearl Hamm Lewman.
Henry was a retired foundation Mason by trade and a veteran of WWII.
He attended Westbridge Church in Danville and was a loving father and grandfather that led by example with compassion and wisdom. He was an avid hunter and fisherman in his youth and a devoted son to his mother.
He will be missed dearly. Survivors include his children, Debra Dawn Lewman, Kimberly Joy (Barry) Worland, Henry Brooks (Laura) Lewman, Jr., Susan Kay Lewman, Sherry (Gary) Lowe, Kenny (Linda) Cross, Cindy (Tony) Maxwell; siblings, Clifford (Charlene) Lewman, Reatha Richardson, Ruby Anderson, Francis Puckett, Margorie (Billy Ray) Barnett; 26 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; ex-wife, Agnes Mobley Lewman; wife, Geneva Neese Lewman; children, Ed Cross, Jr., Jerry Inclenrock; siblings, Charles Lewman, Elmo Lewman, Earl Lewman, Thelma Easton, Lois Lewman and Mae Reeves.
